I hope that this message finds you well as our city and our community continues to recover in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. We have all been touched by the unfortunate events of the past days, and we must all continue to come together to support each other to get back to normal in the weeks and months to come. I am writing to let you know that the office building where Limmud NY is housed at Makom Hadash sustained significant damage as a result of Hurricane Sandy. We do not yet know when our office will be operable again, but we hope for the best. In the meantime, I will be relocating to a temporary office space and continuing our work in preparing for Limmud NY 2013. There may be some delays in terms of the office getting back to your inquiries about the conference; please be patient with us. Please note that the best phone number to reach us is currently 646-807-9464. This number may change in the coming days, and will be updated accordingly on our website. Our coming Taste of Limmud NY event at Congregation Beth Elohim will still be taking place this Sunday. For more info, or to sign up, go tolimmudny.org/taste. I want to recognize the incredible work that the Beth Elohim community has done in responding to victims of Sandy. If you’d like to contribute, please go to their website. For an extensive list of volunteer opportunities, visit Repair the World’s website. Registration for Limmud NY 2013 continues as planned, but we will be extending some of our promotions. Please stay tuned for another update later this week. David Wolkin Executive Director
