Nathaniel Berman is the Rahel Varnhagen Professor of International Affairs, Law, and Modern Culture at Brown University's Watson Institute. He is also a doctoral student at University College London's Department of Hebrew and Jewish Studies. Nathaniel's doctorate concerns the problem of evil in classical Kabbalah. Its working title is: 'Improper Twins': The Ambivalent 'Other Side' in the Zohar and Kabbalistic Tradition.' Sharonah Fredrick is a multi-lingual lecturer working on her Phd thesis in Latin American literature. She taught in Hebrew University and Touro College; and at the University of Anahuac, Mexico. Aaron Koller teaches Bible and Jewish Studies at Yeshiva University and the Drisha Institute. Arthur Kurzweil is a writer and a teacher. His recent books are “Kabbalah for Dummies”, “The Torah for Dummies”, and “On the Road with Rabbi Steinsaltz.” He also wrote “From Generation to Generation: How to Trace Your Jewish Genealogy”. Arthur is a member of the Society of American Magicians. He frequently performs his show,“Searching for God in a Magic Shop,” for Jewish groups around the country. For the past 30 years he has also been one of the leading publishers of Jewish books in the U.S.

Yeganyahu Avishai Mekonen is an Ethiopian Israeli filmmaker and photographer living in New York. His current projects are 400 Miles to Freedom, a documentary that explores racial and ethnic diversity in Judaism; and Seven Generations, a photography project that focuses on a dying Ethiopian Jewish oral history custom an examines the relationships between the elder and younger generations of Ethiopian Jews in Israel. Mekonen is a recipient of the prestigious Six Points Fellowship.

Aron Ritter founded the Kosher Wine Society in December, 2005, with the intention of bringing people together to talk, learn and form new relationships, all in the name of wine! Since then, his personal passion for wine propelled him to transform KWS into the premier source for events, education and information on kosher wine and spirits. Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, Shayna Weiss is a graduate ofthe Drisha Beit Midrash Program and is now a second year PhD candidatein the Israel Studies program at New York University. She plans to focus on gender and religion in contemporary Israeli society, and is especially interested in religion in Israeli media, and the culture of gender segregated beaches. Shayna graduated from Brandeis University where she completed a thesis on religious women in the Israeli Defense Forces. Shayna is a fro-yo enthusiast and co-creator of the blog, “Srugim Recap”.

Mishael Zion is a Faculty Fellow at the Skirball Center for Adult Jewish Learning and a student at Yeshivat Chovevei Torah (YCT) Rabbinical School. Hailing from Jerusalem, Mishael served on the faculty of the Hartman Institute and at Pardes, as well as on the faculty of Yeshivat Hadar in New York.
